What are some of your favorite boutique California wineries? ✨
One of my favorite things to do on here is share small production wineries with you. You can’t find these bottles in stores so you have to take my word for it when I say they’re worth taking a chance on. What I love about small production wineries is the personality that goes into each bottle, and Hollow Wine is the perfect example of that.
This 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Tres Pinos Estate in San Benito County, is such a treat, and one of the more unique Cabs I have had in a while. Dried cranberry, blackberry, cherry and a hint of anise on the nose. Barely any oak, medium minus acidity and smooth tannins make this incredibly easy drinking with a medium body and long finish. The grapes used are 100% sustainably farmed, and my absolute favorite thing about this wine is that it was wild fermented with native yeast and minimal intervention. I’ve only had a few wild ferment Cabs before, but I am obsessed 😍
