Only the Nose Knows
Updated: Mar 2, 2021
When I’m not appreciating the fragrances in my wine, I’m a total perfume junkie.
As many wine enthusiasts know, you should never wear perfume while tasting wine, as to not distort or interact with the tasting experience. Although you can’t enjoy both at the same time, you can still enjoy them separately. It’s a fun test for your nose to be able to identify notes in perfume, just like when you’re identifying notes in your wine!
Unfortunately I have an expensive taste in perfumes and typically only buy a new one every few years, just wearing them on special occasions. I recently found @dossier.perfumes which created a ton of scents inspired by designer perfumes at a fraction of the cost, and I am hooked. This Floral Honeysuckle perfume is inspired by Gucci’s Bloom and has notes of Green leaves, orange, honeysuckle, jasmine, vanilla and sandalwood. It smells AMAZING.
If you’re into perfume, what are some of your favorites?
